De Kookfabriek Amsterdam can best be described as a culinary theatre. Having left the Ontvangstruimte, visitors walk upstairs to the Directieruimte that can be used as a foyer, conference room and/or demonstration area. A large glass partition separates the Directieruimte from the rest of the 1200 m2 space and provides an unobstructed view of the Productiehal with its 16 cooking islands, the demonstration kitchen and the Schaftlokaal.

The demonstration kitchen is the heart of De Kookfabriek. Panoramic screens can be used to display the cooking artistry of famous chefs. The “hall” looks out over the 16 professionally equipped cooking islands in the Productiehal.
